The attorneys for Michael Jackson’s estate reportedly asked a California judge to increase the money allotted to his three surviving children.Attorneys were reported on RadarOnline making the bid on behalf of Prince Michael I, Paris Katherine and Prince Michael II. The children’s allowance was previously awarded after their father’s sudden death. They are in the permanent custody of their grandmother, Katherine.Judge Mitchell Beckloff heard the request to increase “the family allowance to the children” in a Los Angeles courtroom. The attorneys did not reveal in the open court why the money was needed.Howard Weitzman, power attorney for the executors of the estate, said a formal submission will be made for the amount. The children’s grandfather, Joe, who was not named in Jackson’s will, is persisting with an embattled bid for an allowance from the estate.
