The Bounty Hunter star Jennifer Aniston said she and co-star Gerard Butler had ‘each other’s back’ on set of the movie.

Aniston, 41, stars opposite the Scottish actor in the new movie and said they got on really well during shooting of the flick.

She said to UK newspaper Daily Record: “Gerry just makes it so pleasant to be around him and enjoy his company. He’s an interesting guy who has a terrific sense of life and spirit.

“We had a great rapport and I think that comes through in the film. We also look at work the same way. We always had each other’s back.”

The Bounty Hunter star Gerard Butler said his new movie is not a ‘typical rom-com’.

The 40-year-old actor stars opposite Jennifer Aniston, 41, in the new movie and said that fans will be surprised it isn’t like a usual rom-com.

He said to BBC Newsbeat: “It’s more fun I think than a typical rom-com. This is action and this is comedy and this is more hard-edged.

“And we’re really bitchy – there’s no end to what we will do to mess each other up.

“I think that’s what cool about the movie. You’re sitting there going: ‘He didn’t do that. She didn’t do that!’

“There’s a lot of great chase sequences – just the c**p they do to each other is fantastic.”

Gerard Butler has introduced rumoured love interest Jennifer Aniston to his mum – and admits: “They very much fell in love.”

He had joked with his mum that he had married the actress – and admits: “She was thrilled.”

And now after building up a phone relationship, mum Margaret Butler has finally met Aniston – and already made plans to bring her to Scotland.

“She actually met her Tuesday night for the first time,” Butler admitted on Good Morning America. “But they’ve talked on the phone a couple of times and I’ve got to say they were both very excited to meet each other. It was lovely.

“So they met last night and now they have plans to go golfing together, for her to go and stay in Scotland and my mum to take her around. They very much fell in love.”

He also fondly recalled the time he joked with his mum that he had just wed Aniston.

Saying they were taking photographs of a fake wedding scene for the movie, he said: “In the middle of the wedding while we were taking photographs, my phone rang and it was my mother.

“I took the phone and said, ‘Hey. mum, I’m a little busy right now – I’m marrying Jennifer Aniston’. Jen took the phone and had a conversation with my mum – and introduced herself as my mum’s daughter-in-law. My mum was so excited – she’s desperate for me to get married.”

The Bounty Hunter star Gerard Butler has admitted he was sick after eating 27 burritos on the set of the movie.

Butler, 40, stars opposite Jennifer Aniston, 41, in the new romantic comedy and stuffed his mouth with the Mexican snacks while shooting scenes for the flick.

He said: “It’s funny because there’s a way to learn to eat on camera where you just put small amounts in your mouth and make it look like you’re eating a lot.

“I’m not very good at that so that first day, I literally had 27 burritos. It was a scene in a restaurant and I’m just stuffing them in, pouring hot sauce all over them too and chowing them down.

“Every scene, I had to start with a fresh one. By the end of that day, I was so ill but it had to be real. I remember the director saying: ‘You don’t have to eat in every scene.’ But I just said: ‘Look, it’s important.’”

Gerard Butler has revealed that he is such good friends with Jennifer Aniston that he once “trimmed her bush”.

The Scottish actor made his cheeky comments in a US men’s magazine and revealed the event happened at his Bounty Hunter co-star’s Christmas tree-trimming party.

He said: “Over Christmas [Jennifer] had a tree-trimming party that I went to. Yeah, I trimmed her bush.”

But he quickly backtracked, saying: “S***. Please don’t put that in.”

The Law Abiding Citizen star, 40, who has been romantically linked to several of Hollywood’s A-listers including Aniston and Lindsay Lohan, also revealed that he is still single and “not a big relationship guy”.

He said: “I think I get laid less now than I used to, because I’m way more paranoid now – look at f****** Tiger Woods!

“I mean, I’m nowhere near as naughty as I used to be, partly because I did a lot of that when I was drinking.

“I’m not saying I’ve cut that part out. I’m certainly no angel. There’s no smoke without fire. But, here’s the thing: while they’re accusing me of that, I’ve probably been off somewhere else doing damage with someone else.

“I’m pretty smart like that. I know how to get away with these things.”

He added: “In the last five years since coming out here, I’ve had two relationships. I’m not a big relationship guy.

“One of my vices is, I’m too wrapped up in myself and not always in a good way.”
