Boys Are Back star Clive Owen has admitted he ‘cried’ while shooting touching scenes for the new movie.Owen, 45, took on the real-life role of British journalist Simon Carr in the new flick.The movie is based on Carr’s memoirs of losing his wife and taking care of their two sons.Owen said: “Every time I read the scene where I’m telling a boy his mother may not be around much longer, I cried.“Just the whole idea of that conversation was really painful.“The film is an exploration of grief, loss and parenting from a guy’s perspective but it’s never heavy or sentimental, just beautifully rough.”Clive Owen plans return to West End stage

Hollywood actor Clive Owen is planning a return to the West End stage in London.The 45-year-old star previously appeared in both the West End and Broadway adaptations of Closer by Patrick Marber and has revealed his interest in appearing in another play.He said: “I have been looking at some options. I haven’t been on stage for quite a while so it’s really about finding a role I have a huge appetite to play.“It is a big commitment taking on a theatre play, and I’ve just started to look at the idea. I have to find something I am really interested in.”Owen, who is currently appearing in the movie The Boys Are Back, added: “It would be good if it was a new play. The Boys Are Back star Clive Owen has banned his children from watching his movies until they are 18.Owen, 45, is best known for his roles in movies such as Sin City, Duplicity and Children Of Men.The Brit actor is dad to two daughters aged 10 and 12 with wife Sarah-Jane Fenton.He said: “The girls have got a big library of movies waiting for them when they turn 18.
