Randy, Evi Quaid back in court over alleged hotel fraud

Read More ]"/> Contrary to earlier reports, Randy and Evi Quaid have not settled their dispute with a resort owner in Santa Barbara.

The Texas couple fronted the Santa Barbara Superior Court on Monday to thrash out the matter of individual felony charges of defrauding a resort owner who claimed they did not pay a bill for a week’s stay last year.

District Attorney Arnie Tolks said: “Basically we weren’t ready to settle. It takes two sides to every case and at this point we weren’t ready to resolve it.”

The couple’s court attire drew attention, with Evi sporting a military jacket and carrying a Golden Globe Randy had picked up in the ’80s. The pair are reportedly known for quirky get-ups.

RadarOnline reports the Quaids were also served lawsuits made by their former private investigator Becky Altringer outside the courthouse. The case was continued to April 12.
