Katherine Heigl lands plum role in One For The Money

Heigl will play the part of Stephanie Plum, who is a newly out-of-work lingerie buyer who turns to bounty hunting. The movie will be based on the popular novel series by Janet Evanovich. Observers say a movie franchise could spin off from the lengthy book series.

Heigl, 31, plays the embattled character of Dr Izzie Stevens in Grey’s Anatomy who was struck with incurable cancer.

Reese Witherspoon, according to zap2it.com, was earlier attached to play the part, while Sandra Bullock and Anne Hathaway were also rumoured in talks for it.
