US dairy sues Gordon Ramsay over $101,000 of alleged unpaid bills

Read More ]"/> A US dairy is suing foul-mouthed British superchef Gordon Ramsay over $101,000 of allegedly unpaid bills.

New York based Dairyland USA is taking the fiery chef to court claiming that his Ramsay New York firm has not paid a bill since November’s Thanksgiving holiday.

The restaurant, which is based at Manhattan’s London Hotel, signed a contract with the Bronx dairy in April 2008.

Ramsay, 43, is the first to admit that he has gone through his own Kitchen Nightmare in 2009.

He has had to cut costs – including eliminating floral displays – to stay afloat during the recession after he breached the terms of a $17m loan late last year, according to Bloomberg Markets magazine.

“Everything was on the line,” Ramsay told the magazine. “December, January, February and March were the most highly pressurised, most awful four months I’ve ever had in business.”

Ramsay says he ran to burn off the stress but refused to ever contemplate bankruptcy.

“There was no f***ing way that was ever going to happen. That was never even an option,” he said.
