Tito and Marlon Jackson visited the modest house at 2300 Jackson Street, Gary, Indiana, as the latest instalment of their show aired across the U.S.

It follows the King Of Pop’s brothers Jermaine, Tito, Jackie and Marlon, the four surviving members of the Jackson 5 as they try to reform and produce new music.

The trip to the home where they first formed the Jackson 5 was an idea proposed by matriarch Katherine Jackson to inspire their songwriting.

As they arrived at the home, memories flooded back for the brothers.

Tito said: “After school, all the kids used to walk across the field and fight over this window to watch us practise. We’d be in the living room and they’d fight for a spot.”

Inside the house, Marlon said: “That house was so huge when I was little, but when I walked in there, I just thought, ‘boy, this house is small’.”

The visit also brought up some painful memories of their strict father Jospeh Jackson.

Marlon revealed his father was tougher on him than most of the other brothers and would punish him for getting his dance steps wrong.

He said: “I thought he was tougher. He would always get after me about dance moves and if you looked at me the wrong way, I would start crying.

“Joseph ruled with an iron fist but that wasn’t abnormal in the neighbourhood. As I got older, I’ve understood why he did certain things.”
