The 48-year-old Britain’s Got Talent finalist made a return to St Kentigern’s Academy in Blackburn, West Lothian, after it was reopened following a refurbishment.

She had dressed up for the occasion and laughed and joked with the school’s pupils. Susan also visited a music class where the children were interested to learn her tips on making it big in showbusiness.

Susan has blamed her spells of depression on the bullying she received at school.

She said: “I used to be made a fool of at school. When people are a wee bit slow others pick at them.”
