Wilson, who was once on-off again with Kate Hudson, suffered a breakdown two years ago after the pair broke up. He was allegedly treated for depression after a reported suicide attempt that saw him hospitalised in August 2007.

But he seems to be on the comeback with a lovely companion who was seen paddling in calm waters in photographs that surfaced.

Wilson, 41, starred as a slapstick conman in The Wedding Crashers with Vince Vaughn.

Wilson’s close friend Ben Stiller told Playboy magazine last year: “I love Owen, and I felt bad that he had to deal with all the outside bulls**t. It’s impossible to understand that kind of pain – depression or anything like that – until you’re in it.”

Wilson recently shot for a Meet The Fockers sequel titled Little Fockers and was providing narration in the Cars sequel.
