Nick Cannon to drive NY morning radio show

Cannon, famously married to Mariah Carey, will helm the show from 6am to 10am from January 19.

He said in a statement: “I have been immersed in the entertainment business for more than half my life.

“With continued success in television, film and music both on- and off-camera, in addition to directing, writing and producing, radio is both an exciting and natural next step in my career.”

Cannon’s show will feature celebrity interviews, pop culture discussions and a mix of music.

Dom Theodore, program director of 92.3 NOW, said: “No one is more in tune with our young adult listeners than Nick.

“92.3 NOW has experienced substantial audience growth since we launched the station and the addition of such a well-known and respected star like Nick Cannon will further resonate with and excite our entertainment-savvy listeners.”
