Michelle Williams takes Matilda out on sea kayak

Read More ]"/> Michelle Williams and daughter Matilda Rose took a delightful break on the blue waters of Hawaii by way of a nifty sea kayak.

The mother-and-daughter pair was out on the water, with actress Williams appearing something of a pro when it comes to the tricky paddle. Matilda Rose, 4, was decked out in a life jacket with her fair hair flowing.

The New Year will mark two years since Matilda’s father and Williams’s famous partner Heath Ledger was found dead in a Manhattan apartment.

Williams is said to be still deciding whether or not to play the part of Marilyn Monroe in a movie due to start filming in London in June. She was reportedly offered the part but wanted to see if she could get under Monroe’s skin as an actress first.

Scarlett Johansson and Amy Adams were among others considered but never approached by Simon Curtis and David Parfitt, the director and producer. Williams, meanwhile, will appear in the much awaited Shutter Island.
