Mel Gibson and Leonardo DiCaprio team up for Viking film

Read More ]"/> Mel Gibson and Leonardo DiCaprio are teaming up for an untitled movie set in the world of the Vikings.

Gibson, 53, will direct the period drama and DiCaprio, 35, will star in the flick.

The movie’s script is being written by William Monahan, and Graham King will produce with Gibson as well as Tim Headington in a joint venture between Gibson’s Icon Productions and King’s GK Films.

Production is set to begin in autumn next year and it will be Gibson’s next directing role.

The movie is yet to gain a distributor but it is claimed Gibson and King will make their film outside the studio system and secure a deal on distribution in the future.
