Federline, the ex-husband of Britney Spears and reality TV star, said he was headhunted for the role. “They called me up and asked if I was interested. I was up for a different part originally, but then they didn’t want me playing myself. I think they thought it would be funnier for me as a Canadian border guard,” he said.

He recently slimmed down during a stint on Celebrity Fit Club. The father of two strapping sons with Spears, he said: “If anybody has any more cameos – or actual roles they want me in – that would be great.”

American Pie Presents: The Book Of Love will be released on DVD this month.
