“He was a brilliant actor and a wonderful man and it is only fitting that this scholarship has been developed in his name.”

The Australians in Film Heath Ledger Scholarship provides aspiring Aussie actors with the chance to further their acting careers in the US.

Oliver Ackland won the $10,000 scholarship prize last year.

The recipients for this year’s scholarship will be revealed in February 2010.
