The Empire State Of Mind star turned 40 on December 4 and reportedly flew out his pals from New York on two private jets.

Those who attended the star-studded bash included Kanye West, P Diddy, Oprah Winfrey, Mary J Blige, Alicia Keys, Lil Wayne, Kate Hudson, Ne-You, M.I.A and baseball players A-Rod and Pedro Martinez.

Jay-Z’s wife Beyonce, 28, and mum Gloria were also guests of honour, and his good friends Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin sent their congratulations via a video.

Golfer Tiger Woods was reportedly invited to the Al Pacino-themed party but could not make it.

The rapper hired a mansion in the resort of Casa de Campo, which was full of marble pillars, balconies and gold statues.

Guests then enjoyed a lavish dinner with Dom Perignon and Cristal champagne and caviar.

Kanye and P Diddy later took to the stage before Jay-Z himself came on and sang Empire State Of Mind with help from Alicia Keys.
