The 83-year-old has three girlfriends who live with him at the Playboy mansion in Los Angeles.

Talking about Tiger Woods, who has been accused of being unfaithful to his wife with several women, he said that monogamy never lasts forever.

He said: “I think the only surprise in it, quite frankly, is that anybody would be surprised.

“If you’re a good-looking guy and young and healthy, the notion that there would be something else going on, well, marriage is just a convenience.

“It’s very nice for raising kids, but the notion that monogamy lasts forever is a wish!”

Hef also revealed the plans he has for the festive season with girlfriends Crystal Harris, 22, and twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon, 20.

He said: “All the families will be here. The twins’ grandmother, who is in effect their mother, who lives in Florida, will be here for Christmas.

“Crystal’s mother and father were over for Thanksgiving and will be here for Christmas and New Year’s as well.”
