The 24-year-old plays the role of Nate in the hit US sitcom and he said he knows his good looks got him the role on the show.

He said: “I’m not ignorant to the fact that part of the reason why [Gossip Girl]’s popular and part of the reason [why] people want to see it is to be like: ‘Oh, novelty boy! Hot boy! Pretty boy’”

However, he isn’t opposed to that tag and said: “That’s all fine and good. It is what it is.”

He added that he’d like to model his career after other stars such as Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Cruise.
