William Shatner gives up on ‘bitter’ Star Trek co-stars

Read More ]"/> William Shatner has abandoned hope of reconciling with co-stars of Star Trek he labelled bitter.

Shatner referred to George Takei and Leonard Nimoy, two of the show’s stars he worked with when he filled the role of Captain Kirk in the original 1960s Star Trek.

Shatner, now 78, claimed he reached a gentleman’s agreement with Nimoy never to discuss the show to try and save their friendship. He also mentioned being left off the guest list of Takei’s wedding to longtime partner Brad Altman.

Shatner said of the long-running feuds: “I’ve asked them numerous times to see if I can assuage their bitterness. I don’t know what their problem is, quite frankly, so I’ve given up on trying to make it better. I don’t like any ill-feeling, and if there was something I could do to correct it I would. But nothing seems to work.”
