Vinnie Jones involved in tax probe

Read More ]"/> Former footie legend turned film star, Vinnie Jones, is reportedly involved in a tax probe over a business’s £128,000 debt.

One of the Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels star’s companies has ended up at the High Court after it was requested to do so by HM Revenue and Customs.

However Jones, 44, who is the company’s only director, will not personally be held responsible as he has limited liability.

Liquidators are said to be asking for a meeting with the actor to discuss how Vinnie Jones Enterprises Ltd ran up the bill in the period 2006-09.

The liquidators could make Jones liable for the £128,321 if they feel he has acted improperly and are making plans to seize any assets the company owns.

Liquidator Ian Defty said: “It’s our duty to investigate the activities of Vinnie Jones, the causes for the failure and to seek recovery of any assets.”

Jones said: “I have had nothing to do with the company since 2006. The partner who kept it going has died. Accountants are sorting it out.”
