Singer Corinne Bailey Rae to make music comeback after husband’s drugs death

Read More ]"/> Singer Corinne Bailey Rae has revealed that she didn’t “do anything for a year” after her husband tragically died from a suspected drugs overdose.

The Put Your Records On singer, 30, is now returning to the music scene after a prolonged break from the industry following the death of her husband Jason Rae, aged 31, in March 2008.

Rae, who reportedly had addiction problems, died from an accidental overdose of methadone and alcohol.

The singer admitted that for the last year she has been too devastated to focus on her music and is only now coming back to it again.

She said: “I didn’t do anything for a year – I mean, nothing. I didn’t go anywhere. I didn’t write anything. I didn’t work.”

She added: “I sat at my kitchen table, life drifted by. It was just bleak. I didn’t even try to write. It was just too raw.”
