Rod Stewart says he posed as an airline pilot to chat up women

Read More ]"/> Crooner Rod Stewart has said he used to pose as an airline pilot to try and charm women.

The 64-year-old, who is married to model Penny Lancaster, admitted that he and a friend used to hang around Heathrow Airport in the UK, dressed as pilots.

They would then try and chat up women by claiming that they had some spare time to kill before they boarded their ‘next flight’.

He said: “We used to go and pull the birds. We’d go to Heathrow and walk around. My mate had a posh accent and he used to say to me, ‘I’ll do the talking, you just shut up’.

“It used to work. We used to say there is a hotel around the corner and we are leaving for New York in a couple of hours.”
