Rihanna’s new album includes song about Chris Brown

Read More ]"/> Rihanna is using her abundant creative talents to bring domestic violence into the open.

She has bravely spoken about her own experience of assault to the world in an interview with Diane Sawyer and has included a track on her new album, Rated R, titled Cold Case Love that deals with ex Chris Brown’s attack in February.

She said: “It was one of the first songs I did for the album. It is one of the most emotional. When I was given time off in March it was a little crazy. Being at home was driving me mad. I couldn’t go anywhere. It was, like, ‘Look at the poor victim!’ So I called my label and said, ‘I’m ready’.”

Rihanna, who is promoting her fourth album in the UK ahead of its release next Monday, said this was the first that her boss, Jay-Z, is grooving on. “This is the first album of mine he actually listens to. The others have been poppy. This one is more up his street – dirty, grimy.”
