Protective sister Jessica Simpson hits out at Melrose Place bosses after sister Ashlee gets fired

Protective sister Jessica Simpson has hit out at the bosses on TV show Melrose Place after her sister Ashlee was fired from it.

Jessica, 19, used social networking site Twitter to promote the show when Ashlee, 25, was on it, but since she was kicked off the show Jessica hasn't been so complimentary.

She recently wrote on Twitter: "CW catching up on MP.who writes this crap?i have had bad scripts to work with,but this?thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press."

It has been claimed in US Weekly that Ashlee was fired because the show's producers thought she couldn't act.

An insider said to the magazine: "They hired her because they needed a good name to help create buzz. But she was embarrassingly bad. Producers cut her down as much as possible."

Another source added: "She's the worst actress, but nobody will tell her."
