A lawsuit involving actor Morgan Freeman was settled.

Demaris Meyer settled with Freeman a lawsuit claiming damages after a serious car accident.

Gloria Allred, star attorney for Meyer, said: "Our only statement regarding this settlement is that Ms Meyer is pleased that the matter is resolved and the case is settled."

Meyer suffered multiple injuries, including broken bones, cuts and bruises, after she was a passenger in Freeman's car.

He was driving the vehicle on a Mississippi road in 2008 when he lost control of the car and flipped it.

Meyer filed suit in the US District Court for the Northern District of Oxford in Mississippi and alleged she had been unable to work since the accident. Meyer at the time was employed at a Fortune 500 company as an executive assistant.
