Mariah Carey: ‘I’m a diva but I don’t make unreasonable demands’

The 39-year-old star recently turned on the Christmas lights at a London shopping centre and it was claimed she asked for white kittens and doves during her appearance.

Carey, who is married to US star Nick Cannon, was asked why she is often labelled a diva.

She said to UK radio station Heart: “Because I am a diva! So friggin’ what? Who cares? Everybody is a diva today, you can’t get anywhere without: ‘Oh, the newest diva on the block…’ Who cares?”

Asked if she’s ever made any unreasonable demands, she said: “If they’re in the entertainment industry? Hell no. Because everybody does the same stuff, most people are way more ‘diva-ish’.”
