Read More ]"/> The Lord Of The Rings star Dominic Monaghan wore a python on his wrist when he appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show.

Monaghan, 32, collects reptiles and keeps two whip scorpions named Indiana and Jones, a black widow spider named Wichita and a praying mantis named Happiness.

Kimmel deadpanned: “I don’t like your watch, I’m gonna tell you right now.”

Monaghan told his host: “She’s super tame. You’d be in more danger from being hurt by a kitten … Isn’t she beautiful?”

He also said: “I had a praying mantis called Happiness and a praying mantis called Smile and I put Happiness and Smile together, and, unfortunately, Happiness ate Smile.”

The actor based a character for his new sci-fi drama FlashForward on a praying mantis, necessitating close study. “I tend to base characters that I play on animals and the reason why I wanted to get a praying mantis is because [I based Simon] on a praying mantis. He’s like, single-track mind, he’s got an idea what he wants to do, he’s a killer, he’s kinda a bad guy – I do specifically make body movements based on my praying mantis.”
