Kate Hudson has squashed rumours that she is set to wed baseball star Alex Rodriguez.

The Hollywood actress was reported to have got engaged to the New York Yankees sportsman, who is also known as A-Rod, earlier this year after she was snapped wearing a diamond on the ring finger of her left hand.

But Hudson has denied the reports.

She said: “Did you know that it was this ring, on my right hand?

“I'm like, 'Why would I even respond… if you're going to lie about something [so] ridiculous?'”

Hudson, 30, was previously married to Black Crowes rocker Chris Robinson for seven years.
