Kat Dennings to star in Thor

Read More ]"/> House Bunny star Kat Dennings is to join the star-studded cast of the Marvel flick Thor.

Variety reports that Dennings, 23, will play the role of Darcy, who works with Natalie Portman’s character Jane Foster.

The movie also stars Anthony Hopkins, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, with Kenneth Branagh directing a script by Mark Protosevich, Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller.

The film tells the story of a partly-disabled student who finds out that his alter-ego is the hammer-swinging Thor.

Filming will begin in January and Paramount is scheduling a release for May 20, 2011.
