Chef Jamie Oliver's wife Jools has said that she wants him to work less.

The 34-year-old revealed that being married to Jamie, also 34, can be hard work. The couple have been married for nine years and they have three young daughters together.

She said: "I've never known a person to work so hard. I don't know how he does it. I'd hate his life, I couldn't bear it."

Jools also said that she finds it difficult being away from her husband for long periods.

She said: "I'm nearly 35, I don't go out a lot and sometimes I get lonely. I don't mind the day-trips to Sweden, but please come home at night."

Talking about Jamie retiring, she added: "We discuss it all the time. But then we think, we're only 34 and life's a rat race.

"In 2011, he's going to try to do a four-day work week, spend more time with the children and just enjoy life more."
