Iggy Pop teams up with Stooges guitarist

Pop, 62, and James Williamson will join forces on tracks they penned in the early 1970s.

The singer said: “James Williamson is really hot to trot and there’s a lot of old stuff that The Stooges failed to record. We wrote a load of songs that we only ever played live, so I’m looking forward to doing some studio recordings.”

The legendary rocker announced plans for the band to tour in 2010.
