The 72-year-old played the role of Bernie Focker in the Meet The Parents sequel Meet The Fockers. However, it has now been claimed that Hoffman will not reprise his role for the third flick.

Sources say to EW.com that there have been disagreements between Hoffman and the studio about the size of the part and scheduling of the days on set.

He had then agreed to a cameo at the end of the movie but that also seems to have fallen through due to either salary issues or scheduling problems.

The studio Universal declined to comment on the report and Hoffman’s rep also did not immediately return EW’s call for a comment.
