Gordon Ramsay’s daughters angry after he caught puffin and ate its heart on TV

Read More ]"/> Fiery chef Gordon Ramsay has revealed that his daughters gave him the silent treatment for weeks after he caught a puffin and ate its heart on TV.

The 43-year-old star was criticised for the act that was shown during an episode of his hit show The F Word last year. He caught a puffin while out in Iceland and then ate its heart raw with salt and pepper.

The scenes were investigated by Ofcom – and his children weren’t the least bit impressed with his actions.

He said that his three daughters Megan, 11, Holly, nine, and Matilda, seven, were devastated as they go to bed with toy puffins.

Ramsay said: “We were in Iceland where for six months a year, the country depends on searching for these puffins. But I didn’t realise how much I’d upset my daughters.

“Jesus, they didn’t talk to me for two weeks. I didn’t realise but they’ve got puffins at the end of their beds and they were upset.”

He added: “To prove in Reykjavik that you’re a proper man, you sort of rip open the heart, add a little bit of salt and pepper, and you eat it. But I felt sick afterwards.”
