Ferrell tops Forbes list of overpaid actors

Ewan McGregor, whose movies averaged .75 per dollar the actor [ Read More ]"/> Will Ferrell has landed the dubious honour of being named Hollywood’s top overpaid star.

Ferrell’s movies in a Forbes poll brought in roughly $3.29 for every dollar he made. The figure compares poorly with that brought in by films of stars including Shia LaBeouf, whose flicks earn an average $160 per dollar earnt.

Ferrell, a funnyman, once popular in Elf and Talladega Nights:The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, has suffered some box office disappoinments in the form of Semi Pro and Land of the Lost.

Next on the list was Ewan McGregor, whose movies averaged $3.75 per dollar the actor was paid. Billy Bob Thornton came third, followed by Eddie Murphy and Ice Cube. Tom Cruise placed sixth on the list, while Drew Barrymore, Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson and Jim Carrey followed.
