After a two-hour season finale, the judges and viewers named Donny Osmond the winner of season 9 of Dancing with the Stars. Mya followed in second place, with Kelly Osbourne in third.

“If you saw the work that went into this season,” Osmond said. “[Dance partner] Kym is so amazing. Of all the things I’ve done in my career, this is right up there.”

Whitney Houston made an appearance to perform hits like “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” while Donny also took to the mike with his early 1970s hit “Puppy Love.”

Donny’s wife and, of course, his famous sister Marie, were on hand to support him. All of the contestants returned to perform one more dance, including a fully-recovered Tom Delay, who was finally able to do the Texas Two Step.

The evening ended with a bang – a pyrotechnic display sparked a small fire, over the orchestra pit, which was quickly put out. Thankfully, there were no injuries.
