Brittany Murphy’s husband taken ill on flight

Read More ]"/> Mystery surrounds the wellbeing of Brittany Murphy’s husband after he was taken ill on board a flight.

Simon Monjack was given oxygen during the couple’s journey from Puerto Rico to Los Angeles, before being met by medics as soon as the plane landed.

Unconfirmed reports claim the British screenwriter was ‘rushed’ to hospital after paramedics boarded the aircraft and found him unconscious.

Murphy’s mother, Sharon, assisted by a chauffeur, was left to collect her daughter’s suitcases from a baggage carousel.

Quizzed about her daughter’s whereabouts by photographers, she said: ‘She’s already gone home’ and refused to comment further.

Murphy, 32, and Monjack, 39, were flying to LA from San Juan in Puerto Rico yesterday (Saturday) afternoon when the screenwriter began to feel unwell.

Concerned for his health, the American Airlines flight crew gave him oxygen and called for a team of medics to meet the flight at Los Angeles International Airport.

Confused photographers, who had been awaiting Murphy’s arrival, saw her bags going round the carousel with no one picking them up.

Eventually her mother, who appeared visibly upset, arrived at the terminal and was driven away with her daughter’s suitcases.
