Brandy settles lawsuit with parents of crash victim

Read More ]"/> Singer Brandy will not be going to a civil trial over her December 2006 car crash in which one woman died.

The singer has just settled a lawsuit with the last remaining plaintiffs – the parents of Awatef Aboudihaj, who died in the accident.

The terms of the settlement are confidential but this is not the first lawsuit that Brandy has settled over the crash.

Back in July she also settled a civil suit filed by a woman who was hurt in the crash.

The settlement was reached with Mallory Ham, 52, who was driving one of the vehicles involved.

Ham, who suffered lacerations to her face and a broken nose, settled for an undisclosed sum with Brandy’s insurance company.

Brandy, 30, was driving on the Los Angeles 405 freeway in 2006 when her Land Rover was in collision with a Toyota Corolla driven by Aboudihaj, a 38-year-old wife and mother-of-two.

Police decided not to press charges on any party due to insufficient evidence.

Brandy also reached a settlement with Aboudihaj’s husband, Maroune Hdidou, on behalf of his two sons for $300,000 for each child.
