Boy George seeking spot on Celebrity Big Brother

The pop singer, who recently spent time in jail, is reportedly seeking a spot on Celebrity Big Brother. The Daily Star reports that George, who in the past turned down offers to appear on the show, has netted a rumoured £200,000 fee for agreeing to sign on.

The 48-year-old former Culture Club singer earlier this year spent time in jail after being convicted for imprisoning a rent boy at his residence.

In a statement, George said it was the happiest time he had ever spent and that he was able to turn his life around as a result.

He said: “I had prison coming to me. It wasn’t that big a surprise, I kind of knew it was going to happen. I just thought: ‘I’m going to make this work for me.’ I got a job quite quickly and worked in the kitchen.”
