A private investigator involved in a court case featuring Winona Ryder pleaded no contest to charges that he tried to pay off an alleged rape victim.

Bradley Miller faces up to five years in prison after making the plea to one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice and three counts of bribing a witness.

Miller was accused of plotting with two others to prevent a live-in girlfriend of a man charged with rape, torture and other crimes from testifying against the man.

The man was represented by celeb attorney Mark Geragos, who has long used Miller, including for the shoplifting trial of Winona Ryder. Geragos also represented Jackson at one point in his child molestation case.

The lawyer for Miller, Mark Werksman, said his client wanted to put the case behind him and move on with his life.
