Madonna is set to visit Malawi to lay the foundation stone of a multi-million dollar girls school she is building.

The singer, who has adopted two children from the African nation, is due to arrive on Sunday.

On Monday the 51-year-old will attend the school ceremony in the capital city, Lilongwe, with the country's president. The school will cost about $15 million, according to reports.

An AIDS epidemic has left more than a million children orphaned in Malawi, and Madonna has set up a charity, Raising Malawi, to help.
