Little Britain star Matt Lucas reportedly visited Stephen Gately's grieving partner following the Boyzone singer's death.

Stephen was recently found dead in his Majorca apartment and it is claimed Matt, 35, spent two hours comforting his partner Andrew Cowles, 32, just weeks after his former partner Kevin McGee, 32, was found hanged.

A source said to British newspaper The Sun: "It must have been devastating for both. I suppose Matt has been through a lot in recent weeks and felt he could help."

Andrew recently returned to his London home following Stephen's funeral in Dublin.
