Lisa Marie Presley is hoping to move to London, leaving Hollywood and its perfect weather behind.

The daughter of "The King" and former wife of Michael Jackson wants to uproot her twins, Finley and Harper, reportedly because she likes the weather in London. She is married to musician Michael Lockwood and has two other children.

She has resided in the same Beverly Hills home since her father, Elvis, died in 1977.

She said: "We have found the quality of life so much more enriching and fulfilling. The civility, the culture, the people and its beauty have reawakened me and have smoothed out some of my bleak and jagged views about people and life."

Madonna, Kevin Spacey and Gwyneth Paltrow are other famous Americans to leave the US for London.

Lisa Marie, meanwhile, recently showed off her California-born twins on their first birthday in London. She said: "They both have such a sweetness about them that it breaks our heart. We want desperately to preserve their purity, love and trust for as long as we can before people and life cause the inevitable souring and contamination. It is incredible that we all start out so pure, so genuine, happy and trusting."
