Corinne Bailey Rae returning to music after husband’s death

Singer Corinne Bailey Rae is to return to the music scene nearly two years after the death of her husband.

Saxophonist Jason Rae died in March 2008 of a drug overdose while Bailey Rae was working on the follow-up to her debut album, which sold four million copies.

Following his death the sessions were scrapped until earlier this year. Now her album, The Sea, is due for release on February 1, 2010.

Bailey Rae said to British newspaper The Sun: "I am really excited about this album. Writing and recording these songs has been such an emotional and necessary experience for me."
