Actress Jessica Simpson recently returned to the USA from a trip to India and was spotted with a henna tattoo on her hand.

The 29-year-old returning from the country where she had filmed her new VH1 docu-series The Price of Beauty with celebrity hairstylist Ken Paves.

The Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia, also 20, threw a grand party for Simpson at the exclusive Vie Lounge in Mumbai.

It is claimed Simpson immersed herself with India's culture while out in the country and she was seen with a traditional bindi on her forehead and wearing a sari.

She also went shopping in the markets and sampled some Indian foods such as pani-puri and picked up some jewellery at a showroom.

Simpson also took some time out to visit a hospital in Airoli where she met a girl that she sponsored for a cleft operation.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed has urged the star to explore the philosophical thought of Hinduism further and said he is on hand to assist her in her study.
